PATIENT SUGGESTIONS AND RESPONSES

Please  leave your suggestions in the Suggestion Box in Reception. Communication is key to all that we do, and we would be delighted to hear from any patients registered at the Surgery.  We will publish your suggestions and any answers on this page of the Surgery Website.

Thank you to all Patients who have given the Staff such complimentary feedback on their kindness and professionalism.  It is much appreciated by all concerned.

 

Suggestions and Responses 

1. REALLY LIKE THE NEW SELF CHECK IN SYSTEM BUT HOW DO WE KNOW WHETHER THE DOCTOR IS UPSTAIRS OR DOWNSTAIRS?

Response:

Please check on the notice beside the Screen, where the details of where the Doctor is, are placed.

2.  IS IT POSSIBLE FOR PARENTS TO HAVE TEXT REMINDERS FOR CHILDREN'S APPOINTMENTS?

Response:

This can potentially lead to a breach of confidentiality, so is always very carefully considered and will depend on the age of the child.

3. THE SCREEN VOLUME IN RECEPTION IS TOO LOUD!

Response:

Unfortunately there is little the Surgery can do about some of the adverts but the volume of the rest of the content is regularly monitored by Reception staff.

TO BE ABLE TO BOOK APPOINTMENTS VIA E-MAIL AS IT IS TOO DIFFICULT AT TIMES TO GET THROUGH VIA TELEPHONE ESPECIALLY FOR WORKING PATIENTS.

PRACTICE RESPONSE:

BY REGISTERING FOR ONLINE SERVICES YOU ARE ABLE TO BOOK APPOINTMENTS AND ORDER REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS ONLINE AT YOUR CONVENIENCE. PLEASE ASK AT RECEPTION FOR A LOG IN.

2. TO OPEN THE PRACTICE ON A WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON (SEVERAL REQUESTS ON THIS SUBJECT)

PRACTICE RESPONSE:

AS FROM 4.4.16 WE WILL BE OPEN ON A WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON WHICH MEANS THE PRACTICE WILL NOW BE OPEN FIVE DAYS A WEEK FROM 0800-1830.

3. EMERGENCY APPOINTMENTS TO BE SPACED APART AT THE END OF THE SURGERY TO STOP THE WAIT BEING TOO LONG

PRACTICE RESPONSE:

WE ALREADY DO TRY AND SPACE OUT  EMERGENCY APPOINTMENTS SO THAT PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE TO WAIT ANY LONGER THAN NECESSARY.  APPOINTMENTS CAN BE UNPREDICTABLE DEPENDING ON WHAT THE DOCTOR ENCOUNTERS DURING THE COURSE OF THEIR SURGERY.  ALL DOCTORS ALWAYS DO THEIR BEST TO KEEP TO APPOINTMENT TIMES BUT SOMETIMES DELAYS ARE UNAVOIDABLE.

 

4.  IT WOULD BE VERY USEFUL TO HAVE POWER ASSISTED AUTOMATIC DOORS
